The summary above was generated by AI

The Monad Foundation is a team of dedicated ecosystem and community builders who are on a mission to massively grow the impact of decentralized tech. We believe that the Monad blockchain--the performant and parallel EVM Layer 1--will help decentralized apps eat the world.

The Role

We're looking for a seasoned Technical Writer to craft high-quality content that communicates Monad's technical innovations, ecosystem developments, and industry perspectives. You'll interface with leaders across the organization that include marketing, business development, and technical teams to create research pieces, thought leadership articles, and noteworthy announcements that resonate with both technical and non-technical audiences, as well as audiences both in and adjacent to the crypto industry.

This role offers significant opportunity to exercise breadth in writing styles, and the ability to shape how the Monad Foundation communicates with developers, investors, and the broader blockchain community.

What You Will Do
  • Write and develop cohesive strategy for partnership announcements, collaborator spotlights, and ecosystem updates that align with marketing and business development initiatives.

  • Research emerging trends in blockchain and crypto to identify timely content opportunities, such as well-researched articles and topic-focused deep dives.

  • Craft and contribute to thought leadership pieces on blockchain technology, crypto market developments, and Monad's technical innovations.

  • Translate complex technical concepts into clear, engaging content for diverse audiences ranging from crypto-native developers to institutional stakeholders without any industry knowledge.

  • Work with multiple teams simultaneously, managing competing priorities and deadlines in a fast-paced environment.

Who You Are
  • Journalistic fluency in English

  • 5-10 years of experience as a professional writer, with ideally 1-2 years in the crypto industry

  • Prior experience writing about cryptocurrency, blockchain technology, or the broader crypto industry is strongly desired. Strong candidates with other forms of technical writing experience and genuine interest in crypto will also be considered.

  • Strong portfolio of published work demonstrating technical depth and style breadth.

    • Demonstrated ability to explain complex technical concepts clearly and accurately for both technical and non-technical audiences.

    • Deep understanding of web3 fundamentals, including blockchain architecture, consensus mechanisms, smart contracts, and decentralized applications.

  • Strong editorial judgment and attention to detail, including impeccable grammar and composition.

  • Comfortable working independently and managing multiple projects across different teams and timelines.

  • Ability to meet deadlines while maintaining high quality standards.

Nice-to-Haves
  • Experience at a professional publication (e.g. Blockworks, CoinDesk, The Block, or Decrypt; Forbes, Bloomberg, TechCrunch, etc).

  • Previous published work includes:

    • Intelligent use of infographics, visual storytelling, or data-driven content.

    • Academic or scholarly writing (research papers, theses, white papers, etc).

Why Work with Us
  • Challenging problems. You’ll work on extremely challenging problems with massive impact.

  • Huge opportunity. The Ethereum Virtual Machine (EVM) standard is ubiquitous, but existing EVM-compatible chains are slow and bandwidth-constrained. Monad’s core innovations offer developers the best of both worlds (portability and performance) and are a game-changer for mass user adoption in crypto.

  • The right team. You’ll be part of an exceptional and highly-motivated team

  • Culture. We’re a lean team working together to achieve very ambitious goals. We are united in our culture of collaboration, low ego, and high-quality output. As an early member of our team, you’ll help continue to shape our culture.

Salary and Benefits

Benefits for full-time employees may include medical, dental, and vision insurance (100% coverage for employees); generous paid time off; paid parental leave; and 10 company-observed holidays.
